About Sujoy



Sujoy Roy is the UK's first and most successful professional video gamer. Sujoy now works on various gaming and esports projects.

Having earnt a Masters degrees in Physics from Cambridge University and worked for JP Morgan in Wall Street, New York, Sujoy joined the pro-gaming circuit with good credentials, some real-world savvy and an analytical mind. These were put to good use in 2000 and 2001, where he generated incredible exposure for his gaming sponsors and a substantial collection of media clippings.

In the intervening years Sujoy turned his hand to event-organisation, creating the UK's biggest gaming events featuring thousands of pounds in prize money and competitors from all over the world. Sujoy also founded and built one of the most successful online esports communities, ESReality. In 2007 with experience as a pro-gamer, event organiser and community builder, Sujoy is currently working on building new and revolutionary gaming centres in the world's most famous entertainment locations.

With the birth of the first Worldwide Professional Gaming League, Sujoy decided to take on the role of General Manager of the London team as part of the Championship Gaming Series. Sujoy drafted his first team for The London Mint on 27 September 2007, then the team went on to win the UK Grand Final vs Birmingham Salvo on 28 September 2007. The London Mint will next go to LA to take part in the CGS World Finals in December. All the CGS shows will be screened on Sky1 in the week running up to Christmans 2007.
